POSITION TITLE: BUSINESS ANALYST
CLASSIFICATION: FULL-TIME STAFF
REPORTS TO: Director of Enterprise Applications
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Elicits, analyzes, specifies, and validates the business needs of stakeholders.
Collaborates with IT Project Manager to determine project scope and vision.
Researches, reviews, and analyzes the effectiveness and efficiency of existing requirements-gathering processes and develops strategies for enhancing or further leveraging these processes.
Analyzes and verifies requirements for completeness, consistency, comprehensibility, feasibility, and conformity to standards.
Assists with the interpretation of customer requirements into feasible options, and communicating these back to stakeholders.
Works closely with the IT Project Manager to manage and track the status of requirements throughout the project lifecycle; enforce and redefine as necessary.
Works within the system to bring the project to life through necessary coding, form creation, or business process workflow.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor Degree in Computer Science/Information Systems or equivalent experience
Experience with education delivery systems and methods
Experience with online form solutions
Knowledge of 7 layer OSI model
Essential Qualifications:
Experience with relational databases, preferably Microsoft SQL
Able to write queries, create tables, write stored procedures within SQL
Experience with programming logic
Previous experience in customer and technical support
Experience in project management
