Job Description:
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Provides clinical and administrative supervision to nursing staff, ensuring efficient, safe, quality health care is provided, in compliance with accreditation and other applicable standards. Coordinates daily nursing operations within the medical service area of practice. This may include collaborating with Seven Counties leadership to negotiate/manage contracts, hiring and supervision of nursing staff, and the ordering and management of medical supplies and equipment. Monitors health outcomes of clients served. Serves as liaison to partners in care e.g., managed care organizations and other healthcare providers. Ensures adequate patient care through efficient scheduling of the nursing staff. Attends and participates, in organization performance improvement activities. This may include membership on SCS teams for Pharmacy and Therapeutics, Infection Prevention, & Safety, etc. Develops, reviews, and implements all service-specific nursing and medical services work practices. Ensures accuracy and timeliness of all nursing documentation.
EDUCATION
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing or comparable nursing administration experience.
- Kentucky license as a Registered Nurse.
EXPERIENCE
- Three plus years nursing in behavioral health or addiction treatment with a Bachelor's degree or 8 plus years with an Associate's degree.
- Strong nursing and supervisory skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Thorough knowledge of the nursing standards for both physical and behavioral health
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Position has no unusual physical demands.
- Normal tasks may involve routine but limited exposure to blood, body fluids or tissue.
