Job Title: Registered Nurse - Medical-Surgical (MedSurg)

Rate: $2160 Weekly
Shift: 36hrs - 3x12hrs - Nights
Job Description:
As a Registered Nurse in the Medical-Surgical unit, you will play a pivotal role in providing comprehensive nursing care to patients admitted for medical and surgical interventions. Working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, you will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care to ensure optimal outcomes. Your expertise in clinical nursing practices, compassionate patient care, and effective communication will contribute to the delivery of high-quality healthcare services to our patients.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments upon admission and throughout the patient's stay, identifying and addressing physical, psychological, and emotional needs.
- Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans based on assessment data, physician orders, and evidence-based practices.
- Administer medications, treatments, and procedures safely and accurately, adhering to established protocols and standards of care.
- Monitor patient progress, vital signs, and response to treatments, intervening promptly to address any changes in condition.
- Provide patient and family education regarding treatment plans, medications, and self-care techniques to promote wellness and prevent complications.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure continuity of services.
- Document all aspects of patient care accurately and timely in electronic medical records, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA regulations.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, performance improvement activities, and unit-based committees to enhance patient care delivery and outcomes.
- Demonstrate professionalism, empathy, and compassion in all interactions with patients, families, and colleagues.
- Maintain current knowledge of best practices, healthcare trends, and regulatory requirements related to medical-surgical nursing.
Requirements:
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Pennsylvania.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in medical-surgical nursing preferred.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required.
- BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

- Proficiency in electronic medical records and healthcare technology.
