Job Title: House Nurse Supervisor

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced House Nurse Supervisor to join our healthcare team in Watertown, NY. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive nursing oversight, manage day-to-day operations of the nursing department, and ensure high standards of patient care. This role involves supervising nursing staff, coordinating patient care, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional care.
Responsibilities:
- Supervision and Leadership: Oversee the nursing staff on your shift, including Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, and Certified Nursing Assistants. Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure high-quality care and adherence to healthcare standards.
- Patient Care Coordination: Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans. Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as needed.
- Staff Management: Schedule shifts, manage staffing levels, and handle staff-related issues, including performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution.
- Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, policies, and procedures. Conduct regular audits and reviews to maintain high standards of patient care and safety.
- Training and Development: Facilitate ongoing education and training for nursing staff to keep skills current and ensure adherence to best practices.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including assessments, treatments, and outcomes. Ensure proper documentation of nursing activities and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Emergency Response: Lead and coordinate emergency response efforts, including managing critical situations and providing guidance to staff during emergencies.
- Family and Patient Interaction: Communicate effectively with patients and their families, addressing concerns and providing information about care plans and treatments.
