POSITION TITLE:  Radiological Lab Technician

 DEPARTMENT:  Health and Safety

LOCATION:  Deepwater, New Jersey

JOB NUMBER:  2020-G300-9999-01

DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:

This full-time, long-term assignment involves utilizing onsite gamma spectroscopy and gross alpha/beta low background counter, sample preparation, and other miscellaneous operations in support of environmental remediation services at the former DuPont Chambers Works FUSRAP site.

The daily work will include:

  • Receiving and preparing soil and air samples for onsite analysis
  • Operating gamma spectroscopy system and gross alpha/beta low background counter system (both systems utilize Apex software)
  • Performing radiological surveys in the lab

 SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

 Must have at least one year of operating, maintaining, and calibrating gamma spectroscopy system with Apex software experience preferred

  • Must be able to lift at least 40 pounds several times per day
  • Must have 40 HAZWOPER and current 8 hour refresher certificate
  • Must be able to pass HAZWOPER physical and wear respiratory protection
  • Must be able to pass a background check
  • Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office and Adobe Pro

SALARY/BENEFITS:

Hourly position; commensurate with qualifications.  Extensive company-provided benefit package includes medical, dental, prescription, and 401k plan.  Sevenson participates in E-Verify and must verify the identity and employment eligibility of all persons hired to work in the United States.  Sevenson will not sponsor an employment visa (e.g., H-1B visa, etc.) to fill a position.
