NeuroRestorative, a member of the Sevita family, provides rehabilitation services for people of all ages with brain, spinal cord and medically complex injuries, illnesses and other challenges. In a variety of locations and community-based settings, we offer a range of programs, including vocational and therapy programs, day treatments, and specialized services for infants, children, adolescents, Military Service Members and Veterans.
Dietary and Food Lead
Do you have experience in the foodservice industry and leadership ability, and want to work for a company that positively impacts the wellbeing of the individuals it serves? In the role of Dietary/Food Lead, you will help this company in its commitment to serve others by assisting in food preparation and serving meals to consumers, by maintaining and cleaning the kitchen/dining area, and by providing assistance in a manner that supports the personal dignity of the consumers.
- Train junior staff on standard concepts, practices, and procedures for dietary food preparation
- Prepare all menu items using established departmental policies and procedures
- Ensure that presentation of all menu items adheres to established standards and all menu items are prepared according to established policies and procedures
- Develop and maintain adequate food/supplies
- Maintain appearance of all equipment and serving utensils
- Clean kitchen area continually
- Report any hazardous conditions, equipment, accidents, and incidents to supervisor
- Perform related duties as required or assigned to fulfill the philosophy, goals, and objectives of the program site
- Adhere to policy requiring the timely reporting of consumer and/or employee injuries according to guidelines given during orientation and annual mandatory education programs
- Understand and promote all rules regarding consumers’ rights
- Promote independence, choice, and empowerment of consumers
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two years of experience in foodservice industry
- Current driver’s license, car registration, and auto insurance if providing transportation for individuals receiving services
- Effective communication skills and strong leadership skills
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Demonstrate flexible and efficient time management and ability to prioritize workload
- Ability to multitask and outstanding attention to detail
- A reliable, responsible attitude and a compassionate approach
