OT/PT Team Lead

- Provide comprehensive leadership to the Occupational Therapy and Physical Therapy programs while providing Occupational Therapy or Physical Therapy services to program participants.
- Supervise occupational therapy and Physical Therapy staff in all areas of assessment and treatment.
- Oversight includes performance evaluations, scheduling, orientation, and training as well as making decisions on employee hires, transfers, promotions, etc.
- Evaluate program participants and develop written treatment plan for individuals needing Occupational Therapy or Physical Therapy services.
- Administer treatment programs and communicate participant needs to appropriate staff.
- Provide needed re-evaluation and program changes as necessary.
- Maintain timely and appropriate administrative and department documentation, adhering to licensure and standards of applicable agencies and to ethics of confidentiality.
- Serve on rehabilitation treatment team(s); attend team meetings and conferences; provide in-house seminars/training when necessary.
- Attend program meetings as requested for team reports, policy information, exchange of information, etc.; attend PT/OT meetings to exchange, discuss, and evaluate program participant treatment programs.
- Communicate with physicians, staff, professionals/paraprofessionals, consultants, families, and community resources as needed to ensure effectiveness of Occupational Therapy and Physical Therapy programming.
- Provide/participate in in-service programs in areas of expertise for PT/OT staff and other groups as requested.
- Write weekly treatment service summaries and maintain daily billing summaries, ensuring timeliness and accurate billing documentation for department.
- Participate in and ensure scheduling of orientation programs for new staff, interns, and program participants; schedule staff planning and development days to reflect department needs.
- Project and maintain department budget; ensure upkeep and ordering of therapy supplies and equipment on an ongoing basis.
- Establish and maintain department goals, guidelines, and protocols to ensure overall quality as well as appropriate and functional treatment for all program participants served.
- Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy or Physical Therapy
- Two years of clinical experience as a practicing occupational therapist or Physical Therapist, preferably with intermediate or advanced clinical skills.
- Current licensed OT/L in state and a member in good standing with AOTA or current license and/or another discipline related certification.
- Self-motivated and detail-oriented with ability to multi-task.
- Excellent communication and analytical skills.
