Rehab Aide:
We are looking for a patient, dedicated rehab aide to join our team and assist with the therapists and clerical tasks in our clinic. The Rehab Aide is a non- licensed caregiver who works under the guidance of therapist to aide in the provision of patient care. They will be involved with patient preparation, components of certain interventions and environmental safety/sanitation. The Technician attends to the daily tasks of departmental organization and upkeep. They will perform varied aspects of clerical duties on a regular basis including:
Responsibilities:
- Assisting therapists with transporting and preparing patients for treatments.
- Performing routine, non-clinical patient care tasks; including toileting, ADL’s, meal set up, etc.
- Motivates, and assists patients practicing exercises and functional activities under the direction of professional staff.
- Provides routine treatments, such as hot/cold packs, splinting, stretches, transfers after education from clinician and demonstrated knowledge.
- Cleaning equipment and treatment rooms before and after therapy sessions.
- Preparing supplies and equipment and setting up treatment rooms for therapy sessions.
- Washes linens/towels, folds and maintains linen cabinets
- Replenish rehab materials and maintain inventory
- Safely dispose of hazardous material and other waste
- Ensure safety standards in the premises to prevent the risk of hazards
- Maintaining equipment logs, obtaining temps on freezer/fridge and hydroculator and notifying the therapist if there are any problems.
- Completing monthly inspection equipment forms
- Manage mobility and transportation of patients for off-site appointments as applicable
- Assist in transportation of participants to and from the Residential houses.
- Assisting in our Adult Day Training Program as needed.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Six months to one year of experience in the human services field
- Valid Driver's License from state of residence
- Must be minimum of 18 years of age
- Successful clearance of background checks
