What are the responsibilities and job description for the Material Planner - Weld position at Sewer Equipment?

Description:

The Material Planner-Weld is responsible to facilitate the flow of parts into the Weld Department, facilitate parts orders from other departments within Sewer Equipment’s production floor as well as a variety of administrative tasks.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Analyze usage to set up ROP/ROQ Points and Replenishment Methods on new parts
  • Analyze history and usage to maintain correct ROP/ROQ Points and Replenishment Methods on current parts
  • Scan buy cards into the kanban database for Weld Department
  • Review card scans in database and approve or reject based on history and need
  • Work with production floor in expediting needed parts
  • Communicate with purchasing the need for parts expediting
  • Breakdown of work order and ordering of work order specific parts
  • Process In House Purchase Requisitions thru the weld shop
  • Maintain Made In House order file
  • Create Quick Jobs for assemblies made in weld and fab
  • Maintain work order packet for upcoming units for weld
  • Process receivers for steel
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

Commitments and Location:

  • Permanent Full-Time Role Based in Dixon, IL
  • Monday-Friday 7:30 am - 4:00 pm

Benefits Include:

  • Pay of $37,000 - $47,000 based on experience
  • Productivity Bonus, paid quarterly. Average 2022 payout was $4,408 per year. Payouts are based on overall company profitability, and attendance

Requirements:

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment helpful
  • Understanding of lean manufacturing and 5S
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  • Strong communication skills are required to interact with internal customers
  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines and follow through on order completion
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently

Education and Experience:

  • Manufacturing Experience Preferred
  • Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
  • Must be able to walk up and down stairs several times a day

Salary : $37,000 - $47,000
