The Position

As the Large Enterprise Sales Engineer you will report directly to the Vice President of Enterprise Sales, who is responsible for driving net new sales and revenue growth with the largest US merchants. 

You will be responsible for solution design and technical selling for the large enterprise segment at Sezzle. You are an excellent communicator and relationship builder at the C-level with the ability to explain technical concepts to both a technical and non-technical audience. You are a creative thinker and experienced at understanding client’s pain points. You are highly skilled at applying consultative methodologies and techniques to influence solution design and solve integration pain points. You are skilled in collaborating with internal teams to enable the delivery of the required solutions for your merchant partners.

You are experienced with Web and Mobile development technologies commonly used by enterprise clients such as JavaScript, Node.JS, PHP, Java, REST, SOAP, GraphQL, and Webhooks. You have prior experience with payments (credit card, banking, online, offline, alt pays, card processing), retail, credit, or ecommerce. You are familiar with major ecommerce platforms, order management systems, and in-store point of sale payment solutions.



What You'll Do

  • Consult with Sezzle’s enterprise prospects and clients to understand their business priorities, operational challenges and technical infrastructure, and propose solutions which solve for their needs
  • Work closely with Sezzle Account Executives to acquire and launch Sezzle with new enterprise merchants.
  • Develop best-in-class solution designs, test cases and launch plans for opportunities.
  • Assist merchants with mapping out front-end customer experiences for Sezzle as well as back-end processes.
  • Work with Sezzle’s product and engineering teams to develop new features and products that meet the needs of enterprise customers. Identify product/functionality gaps required to deliver enterprise solutions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams including Customer Success, Engineering & Software Development, Product, Marketing and Legal/Compliance to ensure all aspects of integration, testing and launch are successful.
  • Consistently surpass merchant expectations with a consultative approach.



What We Look For

  • 5 years of experience in sales engineering or solution engineering
  • Deep knowledge of payments / payment processing & ecommerce
  • Experience driving technology adoption and creating long-term partnerships with enterprise customers
  • Outstanding technical acumen
  • Experience working with and presenting to C-level executives
  • Background in consumer credit, retail, ecommerce, or payments
  • BA/BS degree, MBA preferred
