Sezzle is a cutting-edge fintech company whose mission is to financially empower young consumers. Only one in three millennials own a credit card, and the vast majority of millennials possess a subprime credit score or no score at all. To address these problems, Sezzle has built a payment platform that increases purchasing power for consumers by offering interest-free installment plans at online stores. This increase in purchasing power for consumers leads to increased sales and basket sizes for the hundreds of eCommerce merchants that partner with Sezzle.
Sezzle is looking for a Senior Product Manager, for Sezzle’s B2B Product for its 34,000 merchants, who will be responsible for designing, building, innovating, and launching new Sezzle products that provide delightful experiences for Sezzle's merchants. The focus of the role will be on vetting new strategic opportunities, creating the business case, designing the product scope, creating initial product plans, supporting the company's cross-functional and global strategic initiatives as an internal consultant and product strategist. The role will report to the Director of Merchant Product. The Product Manager will also regularly interact with key stakeholders such as executive leadership, customers and/or merchants, and will work with cross-functional engineering and business teams to constantly drive product innovation.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Conduct primary and secondary research to determine competitive benchmarking/market trends, and understand Sezzle’s strategic and competitive position
- Develop product roadmaps and work with cross-functional teams (different business, development, and data)
- Analyze current customer/merchant experiences to define friction points and create seamless experiences
- Define detailed product requirements, scope, measure features to iterate and learn
- Drive product development building end to end solutions with engineers and designers
Minimum Requirements
- A bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science or related field
- 2 years of work experience in product management
- 2 years of experience using qualitative and quantitative methodologies to understand customers ability to explore and structure customers' insights
- Strong analytical and data visualization skills
- Ability to translate product needs into technology requirements
Preferred Knowledge and Skills
- MBA or Master's Degree
- Experience in payments or fintech
- Passionate about customer experience with a strong interest in understanding and driving behavior
- Knowledge of e-commerce practices from a technical perspective
- Strong stakeholder management and leadership skills
