Position: Material Handler

Objective: This role is to maintain materials for production lines and support assembly team in a safe manner according to applicable safety procedures and regulations for highly productive assembly production.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Handles all inbound production materials from receiving department
• Responsible for washing parts for productions lines
• Responsible for waxing parts for production lines
• Responsible for oiling parts for production lines
• Pick parts for production lines
• Packaging of raw and semi-finished parts
• Inventory Control – put parts in inventory towers or production line
• Cycle count
• Maintain 5S requirements
• Become familiar to our quality standards
• Perform additional duties within function as needed

Physical Requirements: Physical requirements necessary to perform essential job functions are:

Sitting, bending, standing and/or walking for an extended length of time (typically 8 hours); Lifting on a repetitive basis of approximately 35-50 pounds; repetitive motions required in some jobs; visual acuity required in most jobs, eye-hand coordination, finger dexterity, and the ability to concentrate for extended periods of time.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma, G.E.D. and manufacturing experience
• Ability to apply basic mathematical skills: add, subtract, multiply, divide
• Perform work from production orders
• Use and interpret all assembly equipment
• Good communication skills
• The ability to work independently and within a team environment
• Must be aware and adhere to all company and departmental safety procedures and policies
• Ability to work overtime if needed

This position is led by Assembly Lead and team reports to Assembly Supervisor. The company may have additional duties as needed in addition to the items required above
