Responsibilities
- Receive orders from vendors, load and unload deliveries.
- Stock supplies in assigned location upon delivery including refrigerators and freezers
- Clean dishes, glassware, kitchen, food preparation equipment, and utensils using dishwashing machine
- Prepare and plate hot and cold food, salads, sandwiches, snack and desserts for buffet area
- Set up buffets in the lounge daily
- Maintain stock levels, dates and rotates and checks temperature of product
- Follow proper hygiene standards and ensure high levels of cleanliness in accordance to all health, safety, and food hygiene regulations
- Ensure a clean work station and all storage areas including refrigerators and freezers. Clean kitchen equipment after use
- Floors are kept free of dirt and paper, sweeping every hour or as needed
- Vacuum carpet areas regularly as and when needed
- Spot clean walls daily including kitchen
- Perform cleaning duties after each shift or as required
- Ensure all operating activities follow company standards and procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned or directed
- Housekeeping duties as required
Qualifications
- 1 to 2 years experience in the kitchen
- Basic English proficiency
- Strong multi-tasking skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team
- Evening, weekend and holidays work as required. Able to work a flexible schedule
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming (which include wearing uniform)
- Experience working in Airport is an asset.
- Food Safety Certified is an asset
