Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for an IT Specialist (Part-Time/ 20 - 25 hrs per week) for a CONTRACT assignment with one of our premier Non-Profit clients in Yorktown Heights, NY .
Position Overview:
As the IT Specialist, you will have overall day-to-day responsibility for end-user support and IT related projects assigned by the Head of Technology Operations. This position will ensure that all employees have the necessary technology infrastructure to perform their daily tasks. The IT Specialist will work closely with the Head of Technology Operations in support of the strategic initiatives for the organization. This position will primarily report to our Yorktown Campus with travel to our Patterson Campus and White Plains training location as needed.

The Role :
- Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the IT Help Desk, IT related equipment, including SaaS and endpoints to ensure maximum access to users, both on site and remote, with minimal disruption.
- Ability to 'roll up one's sleeves' and assist in the daily support of workstations, mobile devices, copiers and other IT systems.
- Ensure processes are followed regarding data security, backup, endpoint protection, contingency and disaster planning.
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems or related experience required.
- 3 - 4 years of increasing responsibility in user support, project management, system analysis and development.
- Proven hands-on experience with desktop, mobile and network applications, including Windows, Mac OS, Office 365, iOS and Android.
- Experience with Active Directory and Azure.
- Familiarity with Salesforce a plus.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to deal tactfully with end users.
- A high level of discretion and attention to detail.
- Analytical thinker with superior problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Self-starter with the demonstrated ability to interact with all levels of staff. • Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities.
- Flexibility in availability is a must; including evening and weekend work as required in response to the needs of the systems being supported.
- Must be comfortable around large, active dogs.
