PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT & OVERSIGHT

  • Support with the development of new programs in the   Berwyn, Summit, and Lake Counties that include out-of-school programming, preschool home visiting, school-age mentorship, and community engagement around food insecurity, and youth mental health first aide. 
  • Hire staff qualified for the various roles needed within programs, and ensure retention, training, and support is in place. 
  • Create program policies, procedures, and monitoring to ensure program fidelity and best practices. 
  • Complete  program reporting and documentation of services based on funder and agency expectations. 
  • Monitor and maintain a balanced program budget that stays on target of spending  expectations.
  • Participate in required funder meetings and trainings as requested. 

STAFF SUPERVISION &  SUPPORT

  • Provide supervision, and ensure program implementation reflects the respective funder’s philosophy and curriculum; promote and support staff training and  professional development based on program requirements.
  • Provide   training and on-boarding of new staff
  • Organize and facilitate regular team meetings to enhance communication, transparency, and effectiveness within the program.
  • Lead in the annual evaluations of staff’s performance.
  • Facilitate ongoing professional development of team. 

COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT

  • Develop, collaborate, and maintain relationships to enhance community engagement, resources, and supports with program partners and funders.
  • Support with recruitment, and building strategic partnerships to ensure success of program outcomes. 
  • Participate in key community meetings and networks with a focus of building collaborative partnerships within target communities. 

ADMINISTRATION

  • Ensure compliance with all program requirements around client documentation, reports, etc.
  • Ensure all confidential information is protected.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the Agency’s Continuous Quality Improvement Activities.
  • Represent the program at Department and Partner meetings.
  • Complete administrative paperwork such as purchase orders, personnel action forms, timesheets, time off requests, etc. 
  • Complete other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Credentialing and Education: 

  • A Masters in Social Work, Psychology, or related field preferred. 

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience supervision/administration.
  • Experience providing services with youth and families, crisis intervention, community engagement, and trauma-informed interventions. 

Key Competencies   

  • Sensitivity to cultural diversity is required. Ability to communicate and cooperate with diverse families, various professionals and community groups. 
  • Must demonstrate leadership abilities and ability to utilize reflective supervision. 
  • Exercises discretion and independent judgment in executing tasks.
  • Competent in fiscal management, report writing, and monitoring database reports such as ETO.  

Physical Requirements  

  • Must be able to remain stationary 50% of the time.
  • Must be able to frequently move inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. 
  • Must be able to transport oneself to and from sites.
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
  • Occasionally ascends/descends stairs.
  • At times may be required to lift up to 25 lbs.
