SGS Technologies in Jacksonville is looking for a .Net Developer for a long term opportunity with one of our clients. The ability to work with business users and analysts to develop and fine tune requirements is important. They are looking for a person with ASP, C#, VB and MVC.

Duration: 12 months

Location: Jacksonville, FL

Responsibilities:

• Must be able to plan, organize, and direct the analysis, design, implementation, maintenance, and modification of a GIS software architecture.
• Must be able to implement and support the systems that allow the design of enterprise GIS web and desktop applications in a team environment for the Customer
• Must be able to architect GIS data management solutions for the customer’s core businesses primarily using ESRI technologies.
• Must be able to design and integrate GIS components into a larger, web-based information management system.
• Must be able to configure and maintain ArcSDE (Spatial Database Engine) server for development and production environments.
• Must be able to perform server optimization for ArcGIS servers.
• Must be able to administer geometric networks and GIS network datasets.
• Must be able to resolve version conflicts, spatial (topology), and attribute errors that arise during edited data updates in ArcSDE.
• Must be able to manage projects involving the software and server systems required to enable the use and utilization of GIS systems.
• Must be able to ensure that GIS systems adhere to current IT infrastructure standards and maintain performance and scalability.
• Must be able to prepare detailed specification and technical design documents.
• Must be effective working with customers, business analysts, and team members to understand business requirements that drive the analysis and design of quality technical solutions.
• Must be able to understand and influence people, and show a sensitivity to others point of view, as needed to identify user needs and resolve user system problems.
• Must be willing to work in the Hybrid Environment (Onsite & Remote)
• Develop and implement GIS architecture, and hardware and software infrastructure plans for GIS systems.
• Plan, monitor, and administer system usage and coordinate database interaction with other systems and applications.
• Advise and train system users on GIS methods and techniques.
• Work in a collaborative environment and coordinate with developers, designers, testers, and project managers regarding GIS needs and projects.
