Junior Accounting Analyst


Description:

ShadowObjects, LLC is currently seeking a Junior Accounting Analyst in support of our Corporate Office in Leonardtown, MD.

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Set up vendors in the system and code expenses to the general ledger accounts
  • Reconcile vendor statements, research and correct discrepancies or related transaction entries
  • Weekly review of checks/ACH distribution and research and correct input entries
  • Assist in Payroll for employees through Paylocity
  • Maintains accounting ledgers by verifying and posting account transactions and journal entries.
  • Assist in timesheet review and payroll processing, preparation of monthly billings to Government
  • Oversee the employee expense reimbursement process.
  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations
  • Assist with month-end general ledger closing
  • Maintains historical records and upload monthly closing documents into ShareFile
  • Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices
  • Accomplishes accounting and organization mission by completing related results as needed
  • Protects organization’s value by keeping information confidential.
  • Assist with other projects as needed

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Two (2) years related experience
  • Detail oriented with Proficient Data Entry skills
  • Experience with Deltek Costpoint preferred

 

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENT: Secret
