Exciting Opportunities with Share Food Program! We are looking for a Volunteer Engagement Coordinator to add to our team!

Share Food Program (“Share”) is the largest-serving hunger relief organization in the Philadelphia region, and one of the largest independent food banks in the nation. Before the Covid-19 crisis began, Share distributed food to 700,000 neighbors in need each month. The need has risen sharply since early 2020—Share now serves more than 1 million each month.


Position Summary:

Under the direction of the Philadelphia Pantry Program Director, the Pantry Development and Data Manager will focus on improving pantry partner capacity by helping them to access funding and training opportunities, as well as developing relationships with external partners who can provide additional resources and support. Additionally, the Pantry Development and Data Manager will work to find additional pantries in underserved areas of the city as we identify gaps in service. There will be a focus on creating systems that analyze the data collected on pantry needs, capacity, and services to inform programmatic direction/decisions. The Development and Data Manager will ultimately be responsible for ensuring program operations run smoothly and effectively and maintaining excellent service standards for our partners.

  • Assess the need for and create development opportunities for partner pantries
  • Provide regular training to pantries on best practices
  • Strengthen connections with pantries by streamlining communication
  • Conduct in-person visits to partner pantries to build relationships and ensure compliance
  • Manage collaborative projects between the Share Pantry Program and external organizations
  • Create systems for regular analysis of pantry reporting data
  • Keep up to date on pantry needs and best practices through research and feedback from partners
  • Analyze data to ensure the equitable distribution of resources among partner pantries
  • Assist with special projects and administrative duties as needed

Preferred Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong organizational skills
  • Proficient in Google and Microsoft Suites, particularly Excel
  • Data analysis experience
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse groups
  • Clear oral and written communications skills
  • Detail oriented
  • Driver’s license and a clean driving record

Physical Requirements:

  • Position requires sitting up to 50% of the time
  • Position requires keyboard use or repetitive hand motion

Environmental Risks:

  • Position includes potential exposure to loud noises, extreme temperature, allergens up to 40% of

the time.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000 - $55,000 per year
