Job Title: QA Analyst I

Reporting to: QA Manager
Job Function
Responsible for testing credit union core processing and online software and 3rdparty interfaces. This role will be responsible to carry out pre-defined testing processes and procedures at different phases in the development cycle; to ensure methodology meet a set of consistent standards. This will also include writing test plans and scripts for tracking defects and fixes in agile and waterfall product development environments. Successful candidates will demonstrate an understanding of banking or credit union products and services or an understanding of the software development process. Attention to detail and a passion for ensuring a high-quality product are musts.
Position Expectations and Responsibilities
- Develop and execute formal test plans to ensure the delivery of quality software applications.
- Define and track quality assurance metrics such as defects, defect counts, test results and test status.
- Knowledge of software development lifecycle.
- Review functional and design specifications to ensure full understanding of system test requirements.
- Collect and analyze data for software process evaluation and improvements.
- Provide demonstrations on fully tested features for user acceptance testing.
- Research and maintain knowledge in emerging technologies and possible application to the project/team.
- Demonstrated success in working on multiple projects with multiple priorities.
- Ability to work well in a team environment and to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
Education and Skills
- College diploma or university degree in the field of business, finance, technology, or other related fields; or
- 5 years’ experience in the banking or credit union industry; or
- 3 years’ relevant QA testing knowledge; or
- 3 years of NewSolutions or NS3 product experience.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail, strong verbal and written communication.
- Familiar with various tools options: Microsoft Teams, Log-Me-In, Ring Central, and Go-to-Webinar, and Salesforce.
- Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language.
Work Environment:
This position works in an office or work from home office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phone, camara, headphones and other software peripherals to include check/ID scanners, signature pads, and receipt printers.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, see, and hear. The employee should be comfortable sitting for long periods of time and comfortable lifting no more than 10lbs.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
