Job Title: Warehouse Specialist
Supervisor: Hub Manager
Wages and Hours: $17 hourly – full time
Position Overview: The Warehouse Specialist serves as the daily support staff for Sharing Life warehouse operations. The Warehouse Specialist pulls orders, loads/unloads trucks, and maintains inventory counts for all shelved product. This individual works closely with other food pantry staff, volunteers, and Sharing Life staff to maintain access to nutritious food for pantries.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate inventory of available product
- Safely operate warehouse equipment, including fork lifts and pallet jacks
- Provide excellent customer service to our partnering food pantries
- Safely and timely load/unload delivery trucks
- Ability to utilize online inventory system to process orders
- Accurately track and log daily activities
- Maintain a clean warehouse, free of hazards and potential food safety issues
- Recognize and adhere to all local, state, and federal safety requirements
- Candidates must submit to background check and have a clear driving record
Physical Working Conditions:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee may sit or stand for prolonged periods of time.
The employee may lift, carry or otherwise move and position objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
