Responsibilities:
- Cut, trim, and prepare various cuts of meat according to customer specifications
- Ensure proper handling and storage of meat products to maintain quality and freshness
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a clean and safe work environment
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with their meat selection and answering any questions they may have
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to coordinate food preparation and production
Skills:
- Proficient in meat cutting techniques, including portioning, deboning, and slicing
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in the food industry
- Strong customer service skills to interact with customers in a friendly and helpful manner
- Experience working in a restaurant or food production setting is preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment, such as knives and meat processing machinery
- Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods of time
