Are you reliable with an excellent work ethic? Are you self-motivated? Buffer Insurance is seeking a sharp and experienced Insurance Sales Agent to join our team. As the Insurance Sales Agent, you will be responsible for soliciting and selling property and casualty lines of coverage and servicing existing clients - these include general liability, worker's compensation, business owner policies, and other commercial lines of coverage that protect businesses from perils and risk. This role is extremely important to the growth of our company. Other responsibilities include prospecting, networking, cold calling, implementing new insurance policies, renewing existing policies, communicating important changes of policies to policyholders, and other day-to-day activities. You must maintain a high level of professionalism and present the organization in the best light possible. Success in this role includes thoughtful communication over the phone, networking with new prospects, and collaborating with colleagues to cross-sell to our existing clients. The Account Executive can expect to be measured by their activities, meetings, new sales, and retention of clients.

Position:
- Full-time
- In-person
- Understand the company’s products and service offerings.
- Initiate conversations with prospects through various channels, enlightening them about our offerings.
- Confidently present, negotiate, and close deals with potential clients.
- Prepare policy documents for policyholders.
- Document conversations and follow up.
- Set appointments and manage sales appointments.
- Perform administrative tasks such as organizing, filling out paperwork, and maintaining records of policyholders.
- Attend networking, educational seminars, and social functions on behalf of the company.
- Maintain strong client relationships.
- High school diploma or a Bachelor’s degree in business, administration or a related field.
- Current Property and Casualty License in Texas or become licensed within first 60 days of position.
- Experience selling commercial lines OR managing commercial lines accounts, is a plus.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Comfortable handling confidential information with discretion.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
- Able to receive and apply feedback in the pursuit of excellence.
- Strong, pro-active work ethic.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to maintain a positive and professional demeanor at all times.
- $50,000 - $69,000 bonus
