Responsibilities

Shawmut Design and Construction is looking for a Regional Risk Manager. Do you have experience driving key priorities for risk management? Are you motivated when working on a team to solve business challenges? In this position you will partner nationally with business leadership to identify, mitigate, lead, communicate and drive accountability for the risks taken in our business.

• Actively participate with the leadership and development of the strategic plan for risk management
• Provide decision-making weighing the consequences and risks around areas involving claims, financial issues, carrier issues, compliance, legal issues and sub performance
• Manage multi-line claims including SDI, GL, WC, Auto and Builders Risk claims and losses
• Identify, build and lead training initiatives while providing guidance and mentoring to the organization around specific risk management issues

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or commensurate experience required• 10 years’ experience managing claims and risk management exposure in a risky industry, preferably Construction• Strong working knowledge of risk and claims management best practices.• Solid insurance and liability knowledge required. Underwriting experience a plus!

Base Salary Range: $130,000 – $155,000  The range stated is specific to Los Angeles.  Placement within the listed range depends on many factors including, but not limited to years of experience, project size capability (for Construction & Field roles) and internal company equity.
