What are the responsibilities and job description for the On-site Operations Associate position at Shepard Exposition Services?
Shepard is seeking an On-site Operations Associate that will work both local and national events for Shepard Exposition Services. This position will be responsible for onsite duties such as event setup and dismantling, as well as freight and decorating.
Essential Job Duties
- Work local and national events based on assigned schedule
- Assist on-site with operations install and dismantle of events including marking of floors, unloading and loading of equipment, building and dismantling of projects, spotting and laying carpet, and setting and dismantling exhibitor builds
- Act as a forklift operator as needed
- Work with laborers to achieve daily show site goals and monitor progress
- Perform freight and furniture duties as needed
- Complete proper on-site paperwork and deliver product(s) to appropriate location timely
- Perform tasks assigned by on-site Team Leader or Material Handling Supervisor as needs change and work site progresses
- All other duties as assigned
- 5 years of experience working on-site for a trade show general contractor
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Proven experience as a forklift operator
- Valid certification to operate forklifts
- Ability to organize tasks and meet deadlines
- High School Diploma or equivalent required

- Ability to perform as a responsible ESOP owner by making daily decisions to benefit the client and the company
