The Center for Eating Disorders at Sheppard Pratt is one of the nation's leading programs for the treatment of children, teens, adults, and older adults with eating disorders, including anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, binge eating disorder, compulsive overeating, and other specified eating disorders.
As a Registered Dietetic Technician you will:
- Assists with written nutritional assessments of all assigned eating disorder patients according to program requirements
- Contributes in creating a learning environment that values, empowers, enriches and supports patients and other staff.
- Maintains all records and reports necessary to comply with division, organization, government, and accrediting agency standards, regulations, and codes.
- Easily adapts to changes in work assignments and work environment.
- Plans/reviews menus with patients based on established guidelines and obtains and evaluates dietary histories of individuals to help plan nutritional programs.
Position Requires:
- Work requires comprehensive knowledge of nutrition, the ability to read, write, and speak English well enough to independently follow oral and written instructions - acquired through graduation from an Associate of Arts or Science, bachelor’s degree in nutrition, or a related field or graduation from a certified Dietetic Technician program at time of appointment.
