This is a day shift position.
Position Summary: This is a direct service position. The primary role of the Employment Specialist is to provide assistance to individuals with disabilities to obtain and maintain competitive employment in traditional community settings. Employment specialists conduct all phases of vocational services including engagement, assessment, job search, job development and job support in accordance with the Supported Employment Fidelity Scale. This is an hourly position.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred, Associate Degree in a related field with at least two years of experience in an employment program is also acceptable
- Professional Experience: Two years positively referenced relevant work experience
- Computer Skills: Familiar with Microsoft Office, proficient with keyboard to input information into electronic health record
- Driving Record: Safe Driving Record
- Background Check: Satisfactory Criminal Background check
- Transportation: possession of a 4 passenger vehicle that meets company inspection, valid Driver’s license and vehicle insurance that names employee as insured driver
- Availability of work schedule: Primarily M-F business hours but must have flexibility to work schedule based on client work schedule/need which may include evenings and weekends.
