Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Case Maker Operator to join our team. As a Case Maker Operator, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks to produce a collection of book cover types. This is a vital role in ensuring the accuracy of our printing processes.
Duties
Operate machinery and equipment to produce book covers – verifying bind type, bulk, trim size, margins and run length
Inspect for quality defects ensuring quality standards are achieved
Maintain accurate data collections
Communicate with supervisor and scheduling team as needed
Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs to machine and auxiliary equipment
Perform preventative maintenance, general cleaning and upkeep of machine and auxiliary equipment
Communicate with supervisor and scheduling team as needed
Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment
Basic Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Two years in trade on similar equipment, graphic arts and/or technical school background
Knowledge/understanding of basic math, fractions and decimals
Ability to read a ruler and understand/use metric system
Ability to read, write, and communicate in English as it relates to this position and to the safety regulations
Ability to use, or learn to use, the equipment and tools used to perform this job
Ability to perform all of the job functions safely
Ability to meet the company performance standards for the job
Ability to read and understand written instructions
Ability to meet deadlines and work overtime and other shifts required.
Prompt and reliable attendance required.

Prolonged periods of standing, bending, lifting, pushing and pulling
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times
Willing to work all shifts
Safety toe shoes required
Hearing protection required
