Where You’ll be Working
The individual selected for this role will be expected to work at Store #7282, located at:
5500 NE Antioch Rd, Kansas City, 64119
How You’ll Perform the Role
- Support the sales efforts at a Sherwin-Williams paint store by conducting in-store color consultations for wholesale and retail customers.
- Determine customers’ needs and present appropriate colors, products and services.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing customers and generate new wholesale and retail customer referrals.
- Maintain the wallcovering and window treatment libraries, lending procedures and displays.
- Ensure that orders for these products are handled properly.
- Tinting and mixing paint, pulling appropriate products from the sales floor or warehouse, and assisting with deliveries and warehouse duties as required.

- 18 years of age or older
- Legally authorized to work in country of employment without requiring sponsorship for employment visa status, now or in the future
- High school diploma or comparable certification (e.g. GED)
- Be able to distinguish the difference between colors, a skill used when color matching paint, with or without reasonable accommodation
- Be able to operate a computer and communicate via the telephone, with or without reasonable accommodation
- Ability to retrieve material from shelves and floor stacks and lift and carry up to 50 lbs., with or without reasonable accommodation
- Operate material handling equipment (e.g. hand truck, pallet jack, forklift, etc.) safely once trained, with or without reasonable accommodation
- Willingness to work all scheduled hours, which may include evenings and weekends, with or without reasonable accommodation

- Training in color/design/art or a student currently enrolled in such programs
- Ability to meet and exceed customers’ color coordination and product selection needs
- Prior decorative sales experience
- Strong customer service skills
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to speak more than one language: preferably Spanish
