This position is responsible for confirming raw materials, purchasing finished goods, factory supplies and any other items that require purchase orders. This individual is responsible for completing these tasks in a timely, efficient manner with required follow-up inquires to ensure that the production schedule is met for service requirements to customers.
- Develop and implement a total “systems” materials management program at the plant
- Maintain responsiveness to production requirements and to obtain the best possible quality and price
- Manage finished goods inventories at all locations to meet or exceed service goals
- Develop and execute monthly production plans
- Place orders in assigned plants
- Track/expedite orders to precisely meet demand while maximizing plant efficiency through finite scheduling
- Monitor timeliness of Plant/Distribution and Shipping Center (DSC) shipments
- Develop, plan, and implement Production Inventory Control (PIC) training
- Assist in planning re-deployment of existing inventories to re-balance inventory to current demand
- Create programs and production reporting systems, to track critical metrics for location
- Work with Operations, DSC, and Vendors to ensure service and cost goals are met
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must have the legal right to work in this country without sponsorship now or in the future for employment visa status
- Must have a Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or 8 years of work experience
- Must have previous experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
- Must have at least 3 years of work experience in a Purchasing, Logistics, Supply Chain or Operations
- Knowledge and use of MRP (Material Resource Planning) and MPS (Material Production Scheduling) systems
- Have at least one (1) year of supervisory/management experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Materials Management, Supply Chain, Logistics or business-related discipline
- Demonstrated leadership with a focus on organizational performance alignment and building a culture of trust & integrity
- Proven customer service and decision-making skills
- Established history of creating action plans for self and others to complete work efficiently and on time.
- Proven record of protecting others’ well-being and inspiring them to comply with safe operating procedures
