Shields Health Care Group’s clinical teams support the integrity of the organization with their commitment to excellence. The Paramedic will provide a professional, caring atmosphere to all customer groups, while maintaining a fast-paced, multi-tasked oriented clinical environment.
The Role:
Follow all proper policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure patient safety at all times. These policies, procedures and protocols can be issued by Shields or the partnering hospital group for the location you are assigned to.
- Physically monitor MRI patients during CIED cases.
- Analyze and interpret cardiac rhythms while monitoring patients, report any cardiac rhythm abnormalities to the Radiologist overseeing case and ED Physician, initiate hospital code blue procedures as needed.
- Assists patients when brought into room by undressing, connecting monitor, BP and O2 Sat as directed.
- Performs 12 Lead EKG or other monitoring Lead count for CIED monitoring
- Compliance with performance improvement clinical benchmarks.
- Follows operational flow and procedures efficiently and effectively to maximize utilization.
- Demonstrates effective and positive teamwork and initiative during operations, within the radiology department.
- Works collaboratively and in a professional manner with all allied health and public safety personnel.
- Additional responsibilities as identified.
The Skills:
This opportunity requires ACLS certification and fantastic interpersonal skills.
In addition the applicant will need to:
• Sit and utilize a computer for extended periods of time
• Assist patients with mobility difficulties
• To push, pull, and lift a minimum of twenty-five pounds
