Responsibilities
Corporate FP&A acts as the analytical engine of the company to provide insights and support optimal business decision making. It is a key asset in the future growth of the company that brings perspective and relevant ideas about the world around us into our financial planning and analytical processes. The FP&A group is also instrumental in shaping processes and activities to deliver high predictability of results in a timely, efficient and orderly manner.
The Senior/Lead FP&A Analyst supports management planning and decision making by identifying, maintaining and evaluating company information. Areas of responsibility include financial forecasting, annual budgeting, financial analysis and special projects. S/he may also provide financial consulting and strategic support including preparing presentations, cash flow analysis, industry/peer group comparisons and acquisition analysis.
The position reports to the Director of FP&A.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to the following:
- Analysis
- Analyzes current and past trends in key performance indicators including all areas of revenue, cost of sales, expenses, cash flow and capital structure
- Monitors performance indicators, highlighting trends and analyzing causes of unexpected variance
- Analyzes complex financial information and reports to provide accurate and timely financial recommendations to management for decision making purposes
- Develops financial models and analyses to support strategic initiatives
- Builds financial database by identifying sources of information; assembling, verifying, and backing up data.
- Evaluates optional plans/recommendations by identifying outcomes and potential returns.
- Supports management and departments heads with in-depth analysis
- Process improvement
- Identifies opportunities to automate processing and reporting to improve accuracy, reliability and timeliness
- Supports the continued development of budgeting, financial forecasting and modeling tools
- Identifies opportunities to strengthen financial processes to improve reliability of analysis
- Identifies opportunities to streamline and remove bottlenecks from financial processes to improve timeliness of analysis
- Improves performance by evaluating processes to drive efficiencies
- Reporting
- Prepares presentations to Executive Management, banks, sureties and others
- Quarterly and monthly financial reports
- Ad-Hoc reporting and analysis
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field 4 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
- Knowledge of accounting
- Knowledge and understanding of systems, data requirements and hierarchy management (CMiC, Planful preferred)
- Knowledge and understanding of Excel and PowerPoint required; ability to extract relevant data and convert for analysis and communication is critical
Preferred Qualifications:
- CPA (Certified Public Accountant)
- SQL scripting and data analysis skills
- Knowledge/understanding of civil construction contracting and accounting

The salary range for this position is between $95,000 - $115,000 per year depending on experience and/or education. This position is eligible to participate in company's annual bonus program.

These benefits are available to all employees working more than 20 hours per week. Employees working less than 20 hours per week are eligible for medical, dental and vision coverage as well as EAP services.
