Overview
SHIMMICK/CFX is seeking a Full Time Toll Service Manager (TSM) to be based at Dean Toll Plaza in Orlando, Florida. The Toll Service Manager (TSM) reports directly to the Toll Operations Manager and is responsible for the overall daily management of the toll operations at the assigned plaza and associated ramps; direct supervision of the Supervisors; and indirect supervision of the Toll Service Attendants and Custodians. The TSM ensures that all work is in accordance with the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Company policies and procedures. This includes overseeing all staffing, scheduling, collections, customer service, monitoring lane equipment, safeguarding of funds, and custodial service. Crossing traffic lanes safely requires good mobility, vision and hearing to be alert to traffic conditions. Peak traffic conditions require a high volume of transactions to be processed under demanding conditions. This work impacts the traveling public and as such requires courtesy, efficiency, and professionalism at all times.
Responsibilities
- Ensures that all work is performed in accordance with Company safety and security policies and procedures.
- Assists in the coordination and response to site emergencies or incidents by interfacing with Client management, plaza management, and office management as required.
- Manages, plans, directs and coordinates all work required for the plaza management functions. Directs and delegates work to TSSs, TSAs and Custodians as required.
- Ensures that staffing levels are adequate to meet the shift and lane availability schedule requirements on a 24 hours and 7 days per week basis. Ensures that this is done in the most efficient manner possible.
- Ensures that costs for personnel and supplies are performed within Project budget objectives.
- Reviews work for accuracy, consistency and compliance with SOPs.
- Monitors and reviews the revenue collection, deposit, and reconciliation process working in close coordination with the Toll Operations Manager and Audit Department.
- Assists the Toll Operations Manager and Audit Department with the process of investigation for excessive variances, incidents of suspected fraud or theft, or other unusual occurrences as required. Works with the management team and the Client to implement any required corrective actions.
- Assists the Assistant Project Director with investigating and responding to customer comments, concerns and complaints as required.
- May be required to assist or work at another plaza based on business needs or requirements.
- Completes performance reviews for all personnel and makes recommendations for salary increases and any Project incentive programs. Works closely with the Human Resources Generalist and the Operations Manager to counsel staff on performance issues and required performance improvement objectives.

Qualifications
Education:
- High school diploma or general education equivalency (GED) 4 years of related experience.
Experience:
- One or more years as a Toll Service Supervisor preferred.
- Experience on the Central Expressway Authority’s (CFX) system preferred.
- Basic computer skills including but not limited to: Outlook, Word and Excel preferred.

- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Also must be willing and able to occasionally (i.e quarterly) be present for 1st, 3rd, and weekend shifts.

- Ability to regularly lift up to 50 pounds.
