Key Responsibilities
- Implement an authentic Montessori Upper Elementary curriculum aligned with Montessori Learning Standards and District of Columbia Common Core State Standards
- Collaborate with Co-Guide to deliver lessons and plan student expeditions
- Conduct ongoing assessments and tailor instructional methods to individual student needs
- Foster a supportive learning environment that encourages self-discipline, order, and confidence in students
- Participate in professional development opportunities
- Bachelor's degree in Education or related field required; Master's degree preferred
- Certification in Elementary Education from an AMS or AMI recognized program
- Previous experience in a Montessori classroom setting preferred
- Ability to work with diverse student and adult populations
- Proficiency in Spanish or French a plus
- Eligibility to work in the United States
