This CONTRACTOR – Finance Manager will provide analytical and financial planning support to a broad spectrum of clients in the General and Administration (G&A) group. This individual will act as the Financial Liaison for all finance related activities.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage the financial planning process for the G&A group: Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, Human Resources, Corporate Communications, Legal, Compliance, Business Development, Corporate and Executive departments.
  • Prepare the departments’ annual budget and long-range plan; monthly/quarterly forecasts; monthly management reporting; monthly business unit reviews; corporate expense analysis; and other ad-hoc analyses.
  • Manage the month-end close and accrual process for the G&A departments; ensure proper expense recognition; manage G&A allocations; ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls.
  • Prepare monthly G&A expense reports and communicate results to business leaders.
  • Generate the monthly management reporting package (PL, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) for Actual, Budget and Latest Estimate.
  • Oversee the administration of the financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting system, TM1 Perspectives, along with IT partner.
  • Work as the strategic business partner with the G&A departments to assess new projects and investment opportunities.
  • Ensure consistency of financial processes across the G&A functions and communicate financial results in a timely manner.
  • Prepare presentations for Senior Management meetings.
  • Manage special projects for the CFO, VP of Finance and VP of Accounting.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business; CPA, MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 plus years of professional finance experience.
  • Pharmaceutical industry experience is a plus.
  • Demonstrated strong leadership attributes and ability to successfully drive results.
  • Project management and process improvement experience with complex operational issues.
  • Strong skills and experience with financial systems (e.g., JD Edwards, TM1, Insight, and Microsoft Office Suite).
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with ability to generate concise reports and verbal updates.
  • Demonstrated strong analytical skills.
  • While able to work from home, should live a commutable distance to our offices in Florham Park, New Jersey.
