What are the responsibilities and job description for the Research Physical Therapist - Project Corbertt, 8 hours/week position at Shirley Ryan Ability Lab?
The Research Physical Therapist will follow a research protocol to evaluate and treat patients with a variety of disabilities, including motor, neurological and musculoskeletal problems, etc. in a neonatal intensive care unit (NICU).

Principal Responsibilities
- Participate in research activities for funded and non-funded projects.
- Participate in obtaining informed consent.
- Administer treatment procedures according to a research protocol.
- Track subject performance during treatment.
- Enter data and assist with various record-keeping tasks and data management.
- Initiate clinical research questions and analyze and interpret data to answer these questions.
- Liaise with primary management team to communicate training needs, any identified barriers to implementation, and study fidelity.
- Present information on research findings and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab presence in the research community to audiences within Shirley Ryan AbilityLab and at outside conferences and academic meetings.
- Participate in fidelity monitoring processes as required
- Attend regular meetings to review study compliance and fidelity.
- Attend regular study team meetings and other meetings as requested by team leaders
- Participate in fidelity monitoring processes as required
- Perform all other duties that may be assigned in the best interest of the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab.
Reporting Relationships
- Reports directly to the Research Scientist, Principal Investigator or Lab Manager.
Working Conditions
- Normal office environment with little or no exposure to dust or extreme temperature.
- Therapist will be based in a local NICU.
- Hours may be variable depending on participants schedules
