Job description
The SAP Planner is responsible for the development and execution of operations initiatives in support of the strategic business goal by managing efficiently and effectively all the related activities that impact directly to the customers’ orders.
Main responsibilities
- Set up Master planning data to analyze production specifications and plant capacity data and performs mathematical calculations to determine manufacturing processes, tools, and human resource requirements.
- Work on production planning what-if scenarios to maximize resources utilization while keeping the most optimal revenue projection for decision making analysis
- Expedites operations that delay schedules and alters schedules to meet unforeseen conditions.
- Support and refine operating policies and business procedures to ensure safe and efficient operations through the company’s system.
- Anticipate and detect supply issues and lead the prompt resolution to minimize negative market impact
- Develop recovery plans on potential stock outs due to under-forecasting or late deliveries.
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Associate degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field
- Undergraduate degree is mandatory. MBA is a plus.
- Minimum 5-7 years in a logistics and customer service in medical device or pharmaceutical industry.
- Experience working with ERP programs.
- Strong history of working in a fast-paced environment while abiding by processes and protocols
- APICS CPIM or CSCP Certification a plus
- Knowledge and Skill Requirements
- Extremely organized and detail-oriented
- Must have strong communication skills
- Must be very processed oriented and maintain a constant vigilance towards process improvement by proposing new methods and technological/automated solutions
- Demonstrated ability in developing effective long term strategies to support business plans
- Strong ability to influence and align others
- Strong Project Management skills
- Driver of S&OP processes
- Strong analytical skills
- Proficiency in MS Office tools
- Problem solving and analytical skills.
