Are you looking for an opportunity to work in a progressive manufacturing environment where your work means bringing clear sight to our patients? Shopko Optical is seeking a Maintenance Planner to join our team at our manufacturing facility in De Pere, Wisconsin.
POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for planning and coordinating maintenance resources, parts, materials, and equipment access to improve workforce productivity and quality by anticipating and eliminating potential delays. Directly oversee development of daily and weekly work schedules. Support Equipment Leads in developing daily work schedules using eMaint CMMS. Monitor technical performance of the CMMS and make necessary adjustments to ensure best in class standardized usage practices are followed.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
PLANNING
Determine required actions for each submitted work order
Coordinate all planned maintenance and minor construction activities
Maintain Bill of Materials information for each asset
Create purchase requisitions for planned work to include services and materials
Kit all parts, permits, documents, etc. for all planned work orders
Plan weekly work schedule
Develop library of task lists for all recurring tasks
Review work order feedback information to improve future planning
Analyze work order feedback and execute follow-up actions
Assist with supply chain coordination
Provide cost estimates for labor, materials, and contract services for each work order
Assign proper CMMS coding during work identification, control, and planning phases
SCHEDULING
Expedite scheduling of safety-related work
Allocate materials to jobs on the weekly schedule
Develop weekly work schedule utilizing 100% of resource availability
Partner with operations to prioritize work for the weekly schedule
Facilitate weekly scheduling meeting
Load balanced work schedules
Attend daily scheduling meeting
Develop daily schedule
Coordinate availability of assets
Review and update long range event calendars
MAINTAIN SAFE WORK ENVIRONMENT
Follow all company and lab policies and guidelines
Adhere to safety guidelines and OSHA regulations
Perform stretching before reporting to workstation
High School graduate or equivalent; two-year technical degree or equivalent preferred
2-3 years of mechanical experience with optical lab equipment, manufacturing equipment maintenance or similar field
Proficiency with CMMS software preferred
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of programs
Strong technical skills related to maintenance planning and scheduling
Proven ability to repair sophisticated equipment
Strong written and oral communication skills

Self-motivated and detail oriented
Ability to multi-task and prioritize
Valid driver’s license
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & WORK REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to effectively communicate at all levels within the organization through written and two-way verbal communication
Able to read and write at a high school graduate level
Able to sit or stand for extended periods of time
Able to operate various office equipment and Optical Lab equipment
Demonstrate physical agility (bending, climbing, twisting, squatting, lifting, pushing, reaching, etc.) on a repetitive basis
Ability to lift an average of 25-35 pounds on a repetitive basis and up to 75 pounds
Ability to operate a pallet jack
Ability to see (Near, Distance, Color, and Depth Perception)
Manual and finger dexterity, as well as hand/arm steadiness
Ability to grip and hold items
Good eye and hand coordination
Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
Able to work independently with minimal supervision
Able to work normal and/or extended (evenings, nights, and weekends) office hours to meet established deadlines
Able to travel independently to support Company objectives and personal development
