Senior Product Manager (Shoppers)
ShopShops is looking for a Senior Product Manager to join our US Product team. The ideal candidate has 3-5 years of product management experience and has worked in e-commerce or consumer- facing mobile app marketplaces. Because you will need to collaborate with colleagues based in Beijing, Chinese (Mandarin) language is a requirement. About the role
In this role, you will be helping to build the most exciting, interactive shopping experience for shoppers. You will be responsible for all aspects of the shopper user experience, from discovering great livestream content and making purchases to managing orders and writing reviews. You will work closely with our Engineering, Design, Marketing and Operations teams to deliver the experience and technology that drive the core engine of our business.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have high empathy for your target user, and be obsessed with delivering an amazing user experience. You need to be willing to roll up your sleeves and get your hands dirty with all of the details of a product, while also ensuring we are always working towards our strategic vision. You have the ability to motivate and lead a cross-functional team of designers and engineers around a mission, and can articulate the “why” behind your decisions.
You will report to ShopShops’ US VP of Product. This is a rare opportunity to be a key contributor to a small but mighty (and quickly growing) team in a fast-adopting product category that has never been more relevant. Your colleagues, remote for now, have a fun and open/honest work dynamic, a fast-paced and "roll-up-your-sleeves" startup mentality balanced with strategic vision and focus. ShopShops has VC funding from top investors, scaling revenue, a working product, and a head start in the US market - mitigating much of the startup risk.
Key Responsibilities and Competencies
- Define user personas for the Shopper App and ensure that every touchpoint designed is done with those personas in mind.
- Create, optimize, and iterate on the consumer journey where the ROI is highest.
- Collaborate with UI/UX designers to create the best user experiences for your product.
- Draft detailed product requirement documents and work with the Engineering team in China to build.
- Partner with Analytics and Operations team members to measure success and figure out where you need to iterate.
- Manage/organize product and bug requests from the team for your product.
- Many of your colleagues sit in the Beijing office, so Chinese (Mandarin) language abilities are a must.

Required Experience
- 4 years of professional experience, with 3 years of product management experience at a consumer facing tech company, ideally in e-commerce, marketplaces, and mobile
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills, both oral and written
- Experience working wtih cross-functional teams and managing stakeholders
- Strong UX and design sense
- Highly capable of running nebulous projects with minimal management, from seed idea through completion.
