Shore United Bank is seeking a full-time Marketing Specialist to join our team. The Marketing Specialist is responsible for performing duties to support the Marketing Department, including social media, press releases, newsletter, basic ad design and content for defined marketing channels; achieve goals as established in the company's annual strategic plan; responds to requests received and coordinates fulfillment of agreed upon donation, sponsorship and event to completion; coordinates work within the department, as well as with other departments; comply with operating policies and procedures established for the marketing function; communicating with appropriate personnel; responding to inquiries or requests for information; maintaining appropriate records and completing assigned tasks.
Essential Functions Include:
- Prepare communications, advertisements, collateral and community involvement support as illustrated by the following:
- Monitors ads for accuracy and compliance and obtains appropriate approvals.
- Responds to marketing timely and professionally at all times.
- Monitors and fulfills donation and sponsorship requests such as, logo distribution, ad content creation and branded messaging as requested.
- Approves and coordinates the community impact platform for donations, sponsorships, events, volunteer service hours.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to discuss layout designs and content.
- Assists with writing ad content for multiple media channels: print, digital, social and online.
- Distributes marketing materials as needed.
- Prepares press releases as assigned, obtains appropriate approvals and distributes to media.
- Assists with planning events and attends as needed.
- Monitors and executes on Chamber Membership opportunities to take full advantage of rewards by maintaining a centralized portal of chamber benefits included with membership levels and supporting information.
- Performs various duties to support and monitor online and digital channels of campaigns, communications and social media.
- Abides by the current laws and organizational policies and procedures designed and implemented to promote an environment which is free of harassment and other forms of illegal discriminatory behavior in the workplace.
- Cooperates with, participates in, and supports the adherence to all internal policies, procedures, and practices in support of risk management and overall safety and soundness and the bank's compliance with all regulatory requirements, e.g., Community Reinvestment Act (CRA), Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Equal Credit Opportunity Act, etc.; ensures that the department and all personnel adhere to the same.
- Participates in required training sessions, including training for compliance with BSA/AML policies and procedures.
Location: This position can be located in either Easton, MD or Waldorf, MD.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
- Full-time.
- Non-exempt.
- Days of Work: Monday-Friday. Overtime as needed to meet deadlines and goals.
Required Education and Experience:
- High school diploma/GED equivalent.
- Associate or bachelor's degree is preferred in Communications, Marketing, or related field of study, or equivalent related work experience.
- A minimum of one year of prior work experience in related banking, marketing or communications.
Compensation:
- The pay range for this position is $24.50 - $35.00 hourly.
- Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted hiring range based on factors such as relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, licensure requirements and/or skill level, and will be finalized at the time of offer.
