Summary

The Assistant Chief of Community Impact is responsible for planning, directing and managing partnerships and community impact activities to further position Child Care Aware of Missouri (CCAMO) as a leader in community impact work and cross-functional work within the organization. Focus will be on program management, relationship management, systems building, community awareness building, and the value of a business leadership organization. The Assistant Chief of Community Impact leads work with a commitment to solve problems with innovation and support community level change with common goals and shared responsibility. The Assistant Chief of Community Impact supervises a team of three and reports to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO).


Duties

Duties and Responsibilities:

  •        Manages oversight of request for applications, scope of work, invoicing, and monitoring of Capacity Building Partners across the state ensuring that deliverables of all contracts are accomplished within the prescribed time frame and funding parameters.
  •        Applies knowledge of national early childhood education systems and practices .
  •        Oversees daily operations and supervision of statewide Referral Call Center and staff, including generation of data for performance indicators and search system advancements.
  •        Manages the Director of Data and Analysis, through evaluation of the organization's impact on children, families, systems and the community ensuring that funded programs are supported by data that demonstrates needs identifying areas unaddressed by the organization.
  •        Leads the efforts in collecting data and programmatic information for the organization's annual report and specific funder reports.
  •        Supervises fundraising staff person who coordinates fundraising events and activities for the organization and acknowledges donors.
  •        Represents CCAMO in systems building conversations and building relationships with statewide partners and community stakeholders.
  •        Assists the CEO and other staff as identified with strategic plan implementation, business model strategies and execution, revenue generating ideas, and advocacy efforts.
  •        Works with Chiefs to identify and implement new community level impact projects and assists with building the infrastructure to execute the CCAMO vision.
  •        Works with Chiefs and Directors in identifying and interviewing potential employees of the organization.
  •        Supervises staff who lead our social media marketing efforts.
  •        Communicates the mission, vision, values, beliefs, and why of CCAMO to consumers and stakeholders through presentations, exhibits and other communication efforts.
  •        Engages in other duties, as assigned.



Requirements

Staff Competencies/Qualities:      


  •   BA/BS in nonprofit management, business administration, business management, project management, or closely related field.
  •        A minimum of three to five years of experience in program development and execution and/or systems building approaches and evidence of effectiveness including data management and analysis.
  •        Knowledge of child care resource and referral systems and services with nonprofit experience preferred.
  •        Excellent interpersonal, facilitation and communication skills in both program and outreach settings with evidence of relationship building skills.
  •        Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  •        Ability to take concepts from initiation to completion with minimal supervision, think critically and exercise judgment and discretion.
  •        Drive to make a difference in the lives of children, families and the child care community.
  •        Capable of handling multiple tasks with competing priorities under minimal supervision.
  •        Independent and self-motivated, able to comply with and enforce deadlines.
  •        Energetic team player who models organizational values and demonstrates a positive attitude.
  •        Strong creative and professional writing skills.
  •        Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
