We are looking for a Inventory Control Coordinator to join our warehouse team in Brooklyn Center. This role will ensure accurate inventory at our Brooklyn Center warehouse. This position will also control transfer orders, make inventory movement entries in the ERP, research and correct inventory discrepancies, conduct inventory audits and cycle counting.
What you will be responsible for:
Transfer Orders
- Prepare daily transfer orders between Ramsey and Brooklyn Center warehouse
- Field questions and request emails throughout the day
- Prepare movements within the ERP
- Prepare transfer description documents, including emails
- Direct pick personnel and help pick necessary materials to deliver
Inventory Audits and Cycle Counts
- Responsible for inventory accuracy
- Work closely with receiving and put away crews
- Prepare cycle counts according to schedule
- Direct and participate in cycle counting
- Troubleshoot inventory discrepancies
- Correct inventory discrepancies within the ERP
Supplies
- Order supplies for warehouse through Ramsey Purchasing Department
- Help determine and order supplies needed for kitting projects
- Help maintain Kanban for production area in BC
What will you bring to the table (Skills/Experience Required):
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Two year degree highly preferred
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
- 2 years of prior warehouse, inventory, or shipping experience
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions
- Detail oriented
- Basic math skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities
- Must have excellent interpersonal skills and maintain both a proactive and positive attitude
- Remain calm under pressure and changing priorities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must be customer focused
- Must work in a team environment and assist team members in difficult or demanding situations
Physical Demands and Work Environment
The mental and physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an individual to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk and reach with arms and/or hands. Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. The employee will spend their time in a production and shipping/receiving warehouse setting and will frequently need to lift up to 50lbs, occasionally 50-100 lbs. Also need to be able to push/pull up to 40 lbs frequently and on occasion 41-100 lbs.
