Job Overview:
Shriners Children's is the premier pediatric burn, orthopaeic, spinal cord injury, cleft lip and palate, and pediatric subspecialties medical center. We have an opportunity for a Director of Fiscal Services.
Responsibilities:
The Director of Fiscal Services has overall responsibility for financial management of the facility. In addition, this position plans, directs, and manages a variety of business services including the Operating Budget processes as well as other project responsibilities that may be assigned as appropriate. Is a member of the Senior Management team and participates in facility wide general and strategic planning and future direction of the facility. This position requires a broad base of professional, accounting, and administrative expertise as well as highly developed management, communication, and organizational skills. Also required is an extensive knowledge of pertinent federal and state regulations, local laws, regulations, and guidelines related to assigned areas of responsibilities ensuring compliance with all related entities and with the accounting policies and standards, philosophy, and goals of the Shriners Children's Corporation. Overall responsibilities include but are not limited to staffing, statistical and financial reporting, revenue cycle, inventories, fixed assests, reconciliations and cost reporting. Prepares annual budget submission, analyzes and reports on monthly variances. Works with and presents reports to department heads, management, administration, Board of Governors and Headquarters. Responsible for the 24/7 management and supervision of the assigned departments of Fiscal Services and Revenue Cycle.
Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in accounting, finance, business administration or comparable related degree required. Master's degree preferred. Seven years accounting experience in a hospital or non-profit setting required. Five years experience in a healthcare setting required. Three to five years experience in healthcare fiscal management in a healthcare setting required. A Certifide Public Accountant (CPA) is preferred.
