We are seeking a Level II Assembler for our Huntington, IN location to build Shuttleworth’s complex conveyor systems for the material handling industry to specifications provided by the Engineering Department.
- Read and interpret engineering prints to determine procedures and methods necessary to assemble a conveyor system.
- Assemble complex mechanical conveyor units.
- Perform most mechanical, and pneumatic operations and basic wiring on devices and conveyor systems in sub and final assembly.
- Test conveyor assemblies using prescribed testing methods before shipment.
- Take on a support role in the Quality Checkout Process and adhere to all Shuttleworth Quality and Assembly standards.
- Be proactive in monitoring project success factors (schedule, budget, quality).
- Lead, train, and mentor other employees and contractors in their training.
- Cross-train and assist in other departments as production needs require.
- Other tasks as directed by your manager.
- 20-25% travel as needed for installation/service calls with trained personnel.
Who we’re looking for?
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Technical training or 2-3 years related maintenance or automation experience; or sufficient ability to demonstrate required technical ability.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Supply a full list of required hand tools, some basics include Ratchet and metric sockets (7mm-17mm), metric wrenches (8mm-17mm), screwdrivers (Philips and standard), pliers, etc. All specialty and power tools required will be supplied by Shuttleworth.
- Reliable attendance, and vigor to execute the specified task to the best of ability, and with pace.
- OSHA 10 hr. card currently held or attained within 1 year.
