Overview and Essential Functions
The Network Administrator monitors and maintains the network (on premise and in the cloud) to ensure network availability for all Sibcy Cline users and agents in collaboration with the Technology Services team. The primary responsibility of the Network Administrator is to ensure maximum up-time for all critical infrastructure including network, servers, virtual server environments, storage, and cloud services including Disaster recovery and back up services that ensure business continuity of all critical services and ensure a secure environment.
Essential Functions

Maintain and administer computer networks including computer hardware, system software, and application software by performing installations, applying patches, making configuration changes on routers, switches, firewalls, and other devices as needed. Necessitates preventative activities to ensure reliable services with maximum up-time.

Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, or other network issues and replace defective components, upgrading hardware and operating systems, and contact third party vendors when needed. These can be time sensitive in some cases and may require work outside of business hours.

Configure, monitor, and maintain systems and email applications by creating and removing users from email infrastructure, granting rights to users to maintain security, and recovering lost emails and files.

Plan, test, and deploy new network and other technology roll outs to provide improvements to hardware and software infrastructure. Ensure low downtime occurs to create minimum business disruption.

Proper security measures for Data Backups and Business Continuity to ensure systems can be recovered in case of a disaster. Proper testing and documentation created to ensure Disaster Recovery Plans are available and need to work for business continuity.

Security Management of all including end-point security of systems and ensure patch management for all company owned assets.

Contribute to and support the development of long-term strategic goals for systems and software in conjunction with end-users and department managers.
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

5 years of experience in network administration roles.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Networking or MIS required.

Maintain general level of expertise in Active Directory, Exchange, Office 365, Azure and other Windows-based technologies.

Ability to configure Web Applications through Azure Web Portal and Command Line interface through PowerShell.

Ability to collaborate in a team environment to get hardware and systems recovered quickly.

Strong problem-solving skills to ensure resolutions to ensure minimum disruptions and maximum uptime of all infrastructure.

Proficient in use and administration of business productivity applications in Microsoft 365, including SharePoint and Teams.

Familiar with virtualized server environments.

MCSE (Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer) certification highly preferred.

Cisco certifications highly preferred.

Experience with Visio and other Design Tools preferred.
Work Context
Network Administrators respond to issues as needed while keeping up with daily network administration. Occasionally, Network Administrators work outside of Sibcy Cline’s core hours, particularly when rolling out new technology. Employees in this position may lift heavy equipment such as servers.
