Job Summary
Responsible for oversight of clinical operations, strategic planning and multidisciplinary planning for the Department of Radiology in the NCR at Sibley Memorial Hospital and Suburban Hospital. This position excludes oversight of the JHMI Rockledge site. Modalities include: x-ray, CT, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, Ultrasound, Interventional Radiology, mammography, and non-invasive cardiology/vascular.
The Director collaboratively works with the JHU department, the NCR service line leaders, hospital senior operations VPs and hospital leadership to facilitate and implement programmatic goals and priorities including strategic objectives. He/She will oversee administrative, financial, academic and operational functions for imaging services in the NCR at both acute care hospitals. The Director supervises managers and staff in the areas of responsibility and ensures that the department achieves standards of performance in care delivery, patient experience, employee engagement, business goals, and continuous process improvement. The Director serves as a liaison and works directly with hospital senior operations leads and local clinical and administrative leadership in the management of patient safety objectives and interdepartmental care coordination to ensure that direct alignment with safety and care coordination programs, standards, and initiatives established for the NCR. The NCR Director will collaborate with the CAO for the Department of Radiology on system-wide objectives and programs.
Qualifications
- Registration with the American Registry of Radiology or equivalent is required.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Radiology or Administration or Healthcare Administration is desired; Associates Degree is required. A Master’s Degree in Business Administration or Healthcare Administration is desired.
- At least seven (7) years progressive leadership experience in a hospital setting required; prefer that this leadership experience is in a hospital Radiology Department.
