POSITION SUMMARY:
The Warehouse Supervisor will lead the warehouse and distribution team to meet the efficiency, safety, and service levels requirements to support SICK continued rapid growth. The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the tactical execution of daily activities surrounding shipping, receiving, and production support in a manner consistent with company service and cost objectives. This includes working with Warehouse Leads to control operational efficiencies, processes, and procedures including the development and training of the hourly team members.
The Warehouse Supervisor will establish and maintain high standards and an absolute focus on customer success through:
- Ensuring on time shipment of all available orders.
- Driving Pick/Pack/Ship error rate toward zero.
- Utilizing SAP warehouse monitor to control daily activities.
- Developing improved production material support processes.
- Striving toward zero safety incidents.
- Developing and cross training of team members.
- Impeccable housekeeping and organization.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee shipping procedures for accurate and timely shipments of support order fulfillment.
- Oversee receiving procedures for accurate and timely receipts to production, distribution, and repair operations.
- Review and recommend staffing needs to assure timely and accurate shipping, receipts, and order fulfillment.
- Ensure warehouse is compliant with all company and OSHA safety requirements.
- Continuously coach and develop team; hold personnel accountable for high performance toward company cultural expectations, personal performance goals and activities.
- Identify and implement continuous process improvements within the warehouse.
- Regular attendance and timeliness.
- Carry out other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned or required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience:
- High School diploma required.
- Experience in SAP within a warehouse setting required.
- 2 years of supervisory experience required.
- 2 years of experience in warehouse operations required.
- Experience and knowledgeable in warehouse operations, product movement, shipping, and receiving.
Other Qualifications:
- Ability to lift up to 75lbs on occasion and perform warehouse functions on an as needed basis.
- Ability to frequently stand and walk throughout the warehouse.
- Good written and verbal communication and negotiation skills.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Computer proficiency with Microsoft (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Internet applications.
- Legally permitted to work in the United States.
- Ability and willingness to work alternative schedules including weekend, and on-call hours as needed.
- Ability to work in a general office environment.
