Siegwerk USA, located in Des Moines, Iowa is searching for a new Head of Central Planning. This position plays an integral role in our daily operation by overseeing the department responsible for planning and sourcing the raw materials we convert every day into our high quality product that society uses every day. In this role you will utilize your experience to address all the opportunities today's supply chain produces.
Job Summary:
Manages all aspects of sales and operations planning process (S&OP) including sales forecasting and ink formulation analysis, raw material procurement, inventory management as well as production planning & scheduling. In addition, manages projects to improve overall sales and operations planning effectiveness as well as managing the Siegwerk Product Industrialization team as a key driver for phasing in and out products and optimizing production effectiveness.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manages the S&OP Process throughout the Flexible Packaging Business Unit for all FP manufacturing sites in North America.
- Identifies key data needs, metrics and inputs that connects all steps of the S&OP process. Uses this for statistical demand analysis and modelling.
- Uses asset analysis and capacity planning methods to load balance the various sites and value streams.
- Leads the internal process associated with connecting the stakeholders to ensure a seamless and effective S&OP process.
- Participates in strategic masterplan exercise to define future manufacturing locations and capacities
- Participates in regular exchange and best practice sharing in the SW S&OP community worldwide
- Presents regular S&OP performance updates to Senior Management.
- Works closely with OFC Teams to understand customer demand and carry customer requirements.
- Manages monthly S&OP processes, meetings and action plans, issues resolution and tracking.
Education and Experience:
- Master's Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field and a minimum of 5 years of significant relevant experience.
- Strong working knowledge of SAP, Sales Analytics, Business Intelligence, Supply Chain Databases, Data Warehouse and Microsoft Office.
- Experience in specialty chemical preferred, alternatively custom manufacturing managing a large portfolio of SKU's, inputs & outputs
- Experience with the OMP planning software preferred
- Experience with structured and KPI driven working methods.
- Ability to influence non-direct reports on a cross functional team.
- Ability to build strong relationships and be an excellent team player.
- Good verbal and written communication, presentation and computer skills required.
- Possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; anticipates potential issues and resolves them.
- Strong customer focus and interpersonal skills required.
- Experience and proficiency using SAP.
- Experience managing a team of 10 or more.
- Experience within an international company preferred.
Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Supply Chain Management or related field strongly preferred.
- 5 - 7 years of significant relevant experience.
Salary: $100,000 or more, depending on experience.
