Administrative IT Technicians for the System Performance Management (SPM) work on a team of detail-oriented specialists who stand-up and maintain both SPM accounts and Advanced Proactive Services (APS) accounts. Customers rely on these critical Siemens services to alert them of alarm conditions within their building control systems, and to provide reports that gauge the overall health of their systems. You will work directly with Siemens customers, internal Siemens field technicians and numerous colleagues within the Customer Service Center itself. You will be an integral part of a 24/7/365 team that provides building automation, fire, and security alarms to thousands of commercial customers across North America.


As an Administrative IT Technician, you will:

  • Join the SPM team and quickly learn the many aspects of installing, maintaining, and supporting all cloud-based applications related to the platform and work towards being an SME for Region Americas
  • Perform similar functions to administer Advanced Proactive Services (APS) accounts
  • Emerging technologies – Be open and ready to proactively learn and support the ongoing and future SPM related updates, migrations, pilot testing and feature expansions
  • Handle all aspects of scheduled customer account setup, maintenance, and service
  • Cross-training and other duties as assigned


You will make an impact with these qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • High school diploma, state-recognized GED
  • Windows proficiency – Ability to efficiently navigate the windows environment and understand user accounts, access rights, troubleshooting connectivity, software installations
  • Experience using and navigating in the DOS command environment to learn the complete SPM installation process
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications, with emphasis on Outlook and Excel
  • IT Background – Know the basics of Networking and infrastructure set up
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Existing knowledge of Siemens internal systems and applications, such as:
    • cRSP – Understand the basic operation of cRSP, attend cRSP admin training and become a future team member to help support cRSP/CWP users for Region Americas
    • DesigoCC/Apogee Insight – the basic operation of Insight and DesigoCC to configure and control building alarm points for SPM
    • Global iBase – Basic understanding and access to SAP to reference customer account details. Learn and support iBase as an Administrator for Region Americas.
    • HQ ASSIST – This is the global HQ ticketing system. Learn and utilize the “ASSIST” system report and track SPM related technical requests towards HQ for resolution.

  • The pay range for this position is $43,300 - $74,200. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location.
