Siemens eMobility solutions include AC and DC chargers deployed in all 50 states that range from in-home chargers to depots to charging infrastructure systems that power electrified bus lines in some of the largest cities in the country.
**Overview**
This eMobility Proposal Manager will analyze and process customer requirements to prepare proposals and solutions that best fit their electrification needs, ensuring competitive pricing, technical & contractual compliance. The Proposal Manager will work closely with Siemens sales, Business Developer Managers, and customers in various markets, promoting business generation for Siemens EV charging equipment and associated services.
**Responsibilities**
Primary functional responsibility will be to generate competitively priced customer proposals incorporating Siemens solutions that best ?t our customer needs.
Participate in the design of semi-complex hardware and software solutions in the Electric Vehicle Charging Applications.
Work with Siemens services organization in offering service solutions related to the product offered that includes Maintenance programs, commissioning, install, etc.
Participates in recommending alternatives or changes to semi-complex customer speci?cations and/or internal processes to better match Company products to customer needs and to improve productivity respectively.
Work with different product managers to ensure compliance on the product against customer requirements. Also provide inputs on market trend for product development.
Work closely with Siemens Business Development Managers, Legal Counsel, Project Management, Sales, and customers in different markets on technical, legal, contractual, and commercial issues to generate sustainable business growth.
Participates in technical, commercial, contractual, and legal negotiations to ensure a significant proportion of bids convert to orders.
CRM and Limitation of Authority (LOA) process is a key requirement and metric for accurate pipeline management and bid approval process respectively.
Ensure that all relevant project information, documentation, and communication are handed over to order entry and project execution organizations after contract award.
Participate in improvement of sales tools, processes, and procedures to establish "best in class" bidding processes.
**Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience**
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or related field from an accredited 4-year university.
5 years technical background in pre-sales, estimating, and design of electrical equipment, services, and software solutions.
Familiarity with business, financial terminology, contractual terms and conditions, and able to negotiate and suggest alternatives.
Strong organization, project management and communication skills, ability to make professional writing and presentations.
Proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel and Power Point. Broad engineering understanding of electrical systems and services.
