This is a role well suited to an ambitious professional, looking for the next step in their career. As a Product Marketing Professional for Reproductive & Thyroid you will be responsible for:
• Developing strategic and tactical marketing plans for Reproductive & Thyroid product lines/ disease states.
• Analyzing market trends and growth drivers (i.e. define the market from the customer’s perspective; analyze market segmentation; identify market and industry dynamics and trends etc.)
• Providing input into the business planning process (i.e. contribute towards formal business planning exercises)
• Defining new Reproductive & Thyroid products to be developed to meet new market demands, or the creation of new markets. Provides leadership for product/concept justification during funding cycle. Leads marketing activity, from identification of customer and market needs/wants, to concept and product development, product launch, through and including product discontinuation.
• Ensuring that appropriate Customer Requirements/Design Inputs are crafted to guide the development team. Utilize market research, customer input, Zone input, and other means to ensure profitable and differentiated products are delivered to market. Provide leadership to R&D and support organizations throughout development cycle to leverage technical possibilities and understand technical trade-offs vis a vis market potential. (e.g. lead trade-off analysis…customer, financial, and timeline impact).
• Shaping the commercial status/readiness requirements and manage the commercialization execution plans. Work with PMO to provide marketing inputs into milestone documents and drive stakeholder alignment at each stage. Analyze research results and develop recommendations to the project team. Develop business cases and financially model pricing and volume scenarios.
• Developing a thorough understanding of competitive offerings and provide commercial organizations with appropriately differentiated product(s) versus the competition in a profitable manner that adds value to the customer.
• Leading development of marketing execution framework and commercial toolbox to support market launch; including key benefit, RTB visuals, and demo visuals, compelling benefit language and customer message points, how to win vs. competition, objection handlers. etc. Responsible to set product pricing to meet Market share gains and profitability goals
• Supporting the development of a winning customer big idea to promote the new product, concept, claims, as well as any relevant sights & sounds cues. Assets measured on their ability to deliver commercial success.
• Partnering with R&D and Zones to keep initiatives growing over a 3-5 yr time horizon. Define lifecycle management claims, and work with manufacturing on product/cost improvements and obsolete plans.
• Collecting, codifying, and assisting in the appropriate best practice transfer of successful local/zone initiatives that deliver product goals in line with Atellica brand strategy, combining compliance to global strategy with local relevance.
• Creating worldwide demand for Reproductive & Thyroid products in a customer-centric manner (exemplified by high satisfaction of needs, and therefore appropriately differentiated and adding value) by developing and overseeing execution of the marketing plan. This includes definition of and segmentation of the market, targeting and positioning, and all aspects of the marketing mix (product, place/distribution, price, and integrated marketing/promotion).

• Being a “product champion” and subject matter expert regarding product and market knowledge, planning/execution, and achievement of business objectives.
• Having responsibility for supporting the development of the strategic direction and global product plans based on customer, clinical, regulatory and reimbursement insights, as well as competitor analysis.
• Being responsible for anticipating market growth opportunities and determining the markets, channels and segments to operate in.
• Supporting new product initiatives from initial project approval through to market launch. Develops the commercial and marketing touch-points (name, graphics, key visual, product benefit demo, digital/e-marketing, claims, package, sales messaging, value proposition, etc.).
• Gaining alignment with key stakeholders for product strategy, requirements, roadmap, commercialization plans, sales assets, targeting and training support.
Required skills to have for the success of this role
• 7 years of progressive marketing and product management experience in varying specialties – marketing planning, building brand reputation, campaign development and execution, developing compelling sales messaging / materials and training, conducting market research, developing product portfolio strategy, and new product development and new launch initiatives.
• A track record of successfully working with R&D
• Experience accurately forecasting/ meeting projected revenue and budget targets a plus
• 7 years of relevant commercial (e.g., sales, service, marketing) experience in healthcare, preferably laboratory diagnostics
• Subject matter expertise in hospital and reference lab environments ideal, prior experience as a med-tech/laboratorian preferred
• Demonstrated ability to envision possibilities, lead teams (with or without direct reports) and drive results.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively manage across the matrix in the context of a large global company.
• Previous experience in both Global Marketing and Country Marketing roles a plus.
• Bachelor degree in business; life sciences; engineering or related technical discipline. MBA is preferred

The pay range for this position is $134k - $184k annually; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
